The Flaherty is a unique and historic organization, and, beyond its annual Seminar, it sponsors the Flaherty NYC series at Anthology Film Archives, the Global Filmmaker initiative at Colgate University, and many other year-round screenings and events. In recent years we are proud to have developed many programs supporting our commitment to institutional diversity and inclusivity. The programmers, featured filmmakers and participants in the upcoming 2018 Seminar THE NECESSARY IMAGE are the most diverse in the 64-year history of the Flaherty. We would like the future leadership of the Flaherty to reflect the richness of the communities we serve.
