Amir George Screening and Workshop, July 26-27 | Museum of the Moving Image

On Friday, July 26, MoMI will presents a screening of short films by Amir George, with him present. Through his work, George navigates the complexities of life, moving within, through, and around structuring narratives of power, love, joy, trauma, and self; thereby negotiating understandings of the multi-dimensionality of being.
On Saturday, July 27, he will lead a workshop inviting participants to bring in their own materials for a collective filmmaking project. George invites participants to bring in archival materials including old photographs, images, and video clips to explore the radical context in which they can exist through filmmaking. The participants’ materials are paired together to create a short film.
Grab a discounted ticket to attend both events for $25!
