Apply for Filmshop’s Fall 2021 Workshops by August 4!

Are you looking for a diverse community of filmmakers to collaborate and grow with as you develop your personal projects? Founded in 2009, Filmshop is a nonprofit collective of independent filmmakers committed to developing new work through peer support and collaboration. We meet weekly to workshop projects, offer constructive critique, and incubate new ideas. (In Fall 2021, some of our chapters will be meeting in person, others on Zoom.)

Filmshop members include some of the most talented and accomplished filmmakers in New York City, New Orleans, and Los Angeles, whose work has screened on major networks such as AMC, IFC, and PBS and won awards at top-tier film festivals including Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, and the Berlinale.

Applications are currently open for our Fall 2021 season.

For our New York City chapters, the submission deadline is Wednesday, August 4, and the season begins after Labor Day. Apply here.

We are also hosting a virtual pre-season Open House event on Tuesday, July 27, 6:30PM ET. All applicants are encouraged to attend. RSVP here.
