Squeaky Wheel Film & Media Arts in Buffalo, NY, is now accepting applications for a summer residency. In addition to accepting media artists, this year, they are also accepting researchers of media art (writers, scholars, curators, etc), and a specific residency for Silo City, where you will be given time and gear to install/perform at the hall of that grand, vertical, reverberant grain elevator (see the video on the application page to get a sense). All residents receive a stipend of $900, and national applicants will also receive housing and travel support. The residency will take place August 5–27, 2017. Deadline is June 5, with a latest notification date of June 22.
Full-time students are ineligible to apply. Applicants must be citizens, permanent residents, or have valid work visas (O1, etc) to the United States.
