Podcasts and documentaries that redefine the documentary form are also welcome.

The early deadline for entries is June 18th at noon PDT. The late deadline is July 9th at noon PDT.  Entry fees range from $30 (students) to $50 (by early deadline) to $75 (by late deadline.) Read more about guidelines, prizes and how to upload entries.

Competition winners will be announced publicly on October 7, 2012 in Chicago at the Third Coast Awards Ceremony on Northwestern University’s Evanston campus. Since 2001, the TC/RHDF Competition has honored more than 100 exceptional stories from more than a dozen countries and awarded $250,000 in cash prizes.

The 2012 TC/RHDF Competition is powered by the Public Radio Exchange (PRX).
