Holding Hands with Ilse

With the Abraham Ravett & Abigail Child

We’re so happy to join hands with Abraham Ravett to screen his feature documentary film Holding Hands with Ilse! Ravett’s journey began with a small photograph taken circa 1950 of him and the German teenage girl, Ilse, who took care of him between 1948-1950 in Walbrzych, Poland. Knowing only her first name, the film tracks the filmmaker’s search for Ilse.

With its gentle and contemplative narrative pace, we accompany Ravett through the landscapes of western Poland as he slowly unearths the various connections that finally lead him to Ilse.

Abraham Ravett will be in attendance for a conversation following the screening.
