Film Society of Lincoln Center’s ‘Art of the Real’ Series is Underway

Film Society of Lincoln Center’s 2nd-annual nonfiction showcase, Art of the Real, has begun. Co-curated by Dennis Lim and Rachael Rakes, the series will run through April 26th.

The series includes new work as well as retrospective and thematic selections. Among these selections is a tribute to French documentarian Agnès Varda. Varda will participate in a Q&A following a screening of her short works this Sunday. Daniel Hui, who’ll be coming to UnionDocs April 24th, will also present work.

Co-programmer Rachael Rakes will be a guest-instructor at our ‘Staging Encounters Purchase Purchase Order ‘ workshop this May. Tickets are still available for this intensive two-day workshop focused on film and media curation. Pills Pills
