From 23 until 28 August 2010, IDFAcademy organizes the third edition of the Summer School: a tailor-made training program for emerging filmmakers, taking place in Amsterdam and aimed at strengthening the narrative structure of documentary projects. For the Summer School IDFA is looking for first or second time filmmakers, or recently graduated film school students.

This year, the program is open to projects in the script development phase and rough-cut phase. IDFAcademy Summer School 2010 will select sixteen projects from all over the world.

Participants will be coached by eight international documentary experts. In the past, Summer School students have worked with professionals such as Greg Sanderson (BBC Storyville), Steven Seidenberg (UK producer) and Leena Pasanen (YLE Finnish Broadcasting).

The deadline for submission is 1 June 2010.
