New WorldView and Sundance Documentary Grant

WorldView, a project of the London-based Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA), in conjunction with the Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program, is offering a new documentary award for the research and development of a film about a social justice issue in the developing world.

The grant of 10,000 GB Pounds Sterling (about $16,000) will be given to a feature length cinematic documentary film in the development stage.

The winning proposal must have the potential to engage UK audiences, and have UK broadcast rights available and must sign a letter of agreement with WorldView.

In addition to the 10,000 pounds, the grant provides professional mentorship from a WorldView and/or Sundance Institute-supported director.

Documentary projects are welcome from emerging filmmakers from all corners of the globe.

The deadline for submissions is April 5, 2012.
