Joel Lovell\, Executive Editor at Pineapple Street will also join to discuss his award-winning editing work on podcasts like Wind of Change\, This American Life and more. \nWe’ll be discussing and sharing some of the key insights and methodologies from the making of – from the early ideas stage\, to personal artistry\, reporting and beyond! \nIt’s a celebration of all the amazing work made here at the center of the Podcast universe\, and an opening up of how this work travels to audiences around the world. She is drawn to stories that evolve through multiple generations: how pride or shame in one’s racial identity\, poverty and artistic impulse can be passed down in families. Her work has won many international awards including a Third Coast International Audio Festival Award. At present she is working on three new secret radio projects. At least one of them will be a podcast.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”148054″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Sharon Mashihi makes movies\, radio\, and performances. She was a 2017 Third Coast Radio Resident. Her work can be heard on the podcasts The Heart \, Stranglers \, Snap Judgment \, Unfictional \, and many others. As an editor\, Sharon worked on The Heart ‘s critically acclaimed “No” series\, as well as 2016’s Peabody Award Finalist\, “Silent Evidence”. Sharon’s performances and installations have been featured at Essex Flowers\, The Wassaic Project\, Tapefest\, The Hearsay Festival in Ireland\, and Moogfest. Sharon is co-writer of the 2017 feature film\, The Ticket \, and story editor of the forthcoming film\, Madeline’s Madeline . She is also a session leader at The School of Making Thinking.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”148308″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Joel Lovell is the executive editor of Pineapple Street Studios\, where among other shows he’s edited “Missing Richard Simmons\,” “Wind of Change\,” and “9/12.” Before coming to Pineapple\, he was the executive editor at This American Life and worked on the first two seasons of Serial.
