Cherilyn Tan
Cherilyn Tan is a Malaysian-born, New York-based musician, transdisciplinary artist-collaborator, community-centered designer and facilitator. Her practice weaves together sound, movement, somatics, research and improvisation, to facilitate deep listening, collective healing and liberatory worldbuilding. Her work grapples with themes of home, embodied memory, and grief. She performs voice and electronics, live sound, plays the piano and flute, writes songs, and collaborates across mediums.
