Joni Murphy

Joni Murphy is the author of three novels, Double Teenage (2016), Talking Animals (2020), and Barbara (2025). She studies and writes about art and artists, media history, violence in the Americas, girlhood and other forms of creaturely life.

She has made work for institutions such as ACRE Projects in Chicago, The British Film Institute and Resonance FM in London, Darling Foundarie in Montreal, Malaspina Printmakers in Vancouver, Frieze in New York, Mumok in Wien, and Sound Development.
