Lola Newman is a filmmaker and producer in New York and Mexico City making her directorial debut. Born and raised in NYC, Lola graduated from Oberlin College with a BA in Cinema Studies. Motivated by a passion for interdisciplinary storytelling, socially engaged practice, and the power of lived narratives, her work seeks to explore the social fabric of her communities: Jewish and Mexican stories, especially those centering women.
