UnionDocs CoLAB Alums Screen ‘Division Avenue’ and ‘Eric, Winter to Spring’ at 2015 Brooklyn Film Festival

2014 UnionDocs Collaborative Fellows Anne-Katrine Hansen, Janna Kyllästinen, and Alex Lazarowich are presenting their film  Buy Division Avenue  at this year’s Brooklyn Film Festival. The film, described as a “poetic mood-piece” featuring the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (the BQE), will screen as part of the festival’s experimental film category. Janna will be in attendance at the film’s first screening at 3pm on May 31st at Greenpoint’s Windmill Studios, while all three of the filmmakers will be at the 2pm June 7th screening at the Wythe Hotel.

2014 UnionDocs Collaborative Fellows Dayna Abt and Joyce Wong will also be presenting their film from the program, Eric, Winter to Spring. The film is a glimpse into the life of a Brooklyn cab driver as he moves through one season of his life. It will screen Saturday, May 30th at Greenpoint’s Windmill Studios and Tuesday, June 2 and the Wythe Hotel.

This year’s Brooklyn Film Festival will run from this Friday, May 29th, to the following Sunday, June 7th. Featuring over 100 film premieres in competition, screenings will occur at various venues throughout Brooklyn. The Awards Ceremony will be at 8pm on the 7th at the Wythe Hotel.
