The International Documentary Association is accepting applications for their Pare Lorentz Documentary Fund — apply by July 1!

The Pare Lorentz Documentary Fund supports feature length documentary films that reflect the spirit and nature of Pare Lorentz’s work, exhibiting objective research, artful storytelling, strong visual style, high production values, artistic writing, and outstanding music composition, as well as skillful direction, camerawork and editing.

The fund provides production and post-production grants for original, independent documentary films that illuminate issues in the United States. Each year the fund focuses on select issue areas that were hallmarks of Pare Lorentz’s films. For 2019, the focus is economic inequality. Grants average between $15,000 – $25,000.
