“a wistful meditation on the world, its beauties, mysteries and injustices” – New York Times

“…captures, in its beauty and bad moods and consistent epiphanies, many contradictory truths of city life itself.” – Village Voice

“This understated work of fragmented impressions is one of the most perceptive and engaging films of the year.” – Brooklyn Magazine

“Cohen has a miraculous, critical eye that looks toward human interaction and the nature of working-class life, and a fondness for the native juxtapositions we find in every city between ever-growing commercialization of space and labor.” – ArtInfo

“Although Cohen is rarely seen or heard, his images convey the sense of an observant consciousness, connecting disparate dots of landscape and memory—from a desolate Coney Island in winter to taxidermied space dogs in a Russian museum.” – Wall Street Journal

COUNTING premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and is distributed by Cinema Guild.
