Welcome to the Agoraverse: Screening Party

With Maggie Brennan, Annelise Ogaard & Mila Matveeva

Doors 7:30p
Program 8:00p

UnionDocs
352 Onderdonk Ave
Ridgewood, NY

UnionDocs is thrilled to join hands with the creators of Agoraphilia, a new animated show on Adult Swim SMALLS about a woman and her terrible job. Brenda (Clare Ruddy) is tasked with accosting strangers on the street, seeking donations for a nonprofit organization called “Youth Troupes” which helps kids. Or something.

Although she’s debilitatingly anxious and ill-suited for pestering people on the street for days on end, with the help of her #hustlemindset manager Blake (Derek Gaetan Tüller), and her chaos god roommate Viki (Chingy Nea), Brenda just might make it.

Agoraphilia is a workplace comedy for the gig economy, a sitcom about post-internet public life–and a rallying cry for everybody who has been made fun of for eating a nasty sandwich at work.

In addition to the first three episodes of the show, Welcome to the Agoraverse features a diverse selection of work by collaborators, and inspiration for the show.

The screening will be followed by a set by DJ Blurry.

Hope to see you there!
