Filmshop – Applications Open for Fall 2018

Are you looking for a diverse community of filmmakers to collaborate and grow with as you develop your personal projects? Founded in 2009, Filmshop is a nonprofit collective of independent filmmakers committed to developing new work through peer support and collaboration. They meet weekly to workshop projects, offer constructive critique, and incubate new ideas.

Filmshop members include some of the most talented and accomplished filmmakers in New York City (and, as of 2018, New Orleans), whose work has screened on major networks such as AMC, IFC, and PBS and at top-tier film festivals including the Berlinale, Sundance, and SXSW.

Submissions are currently open for our Fall 2018 season. The submission deadline is Monday, July 23, and the season begins the week of August 20. Apply here.

They are also hosting a pre-season Open House event on Monday, July 16, 7:00 PM. They encourage all prospective applicants to attend. RSVP here.
