
Photography, Expanded RESPONSIBLE DATA LAB:
The Responsible Data Lab will be a 1-day hands-on lab that exposes photographers and photojournalists to approaches for navigating the ethical, privacy and security challenges they face in their work, and in today’s rapidly shifting digital landscape.
Applications are due on February 17. The lab will take place on March 28, 10am-6pm in New York City.
25-35 participants will be selected and notified on Cheap March 2. The cost of the lab is free, but participants must cover their travel expenses.
Organized in collaboration with the engine room and Open Society Foundations Documentary Photography Project’s exhibition, “Watching You, Watching Me,” this one-day hands-on lab is designed for documentary photographers and photojournalists working on projects that address critical social issues.

Learn how design-thinking can be used to systematically approach any creative project to garner innovative, impactful results. Join MFA candidates from the Transdisciplinary Design program
at Parsons the New School for an evening discussion. Using case studies from their recent studio work, they’ll walk us through each phase of their design process. Ask questions and mingle with potential collaborators. Food and beverages will be served.
