Akeema Zane

Akeema-Zane (she/her) is a artist and researcher. She works within the literary, music, cinematic and performance traditions. She has been artist-in-residence, student, fellow and performer at Weeksville Heritage Center, Ars Nova, The Maysles Documentary Center and The School of Making Thinking among others. Her practice centers collaboration and includes her formal working group “Rotten Spring” with whom she worked to design and teach the course “Consensual Collaboration” at Abrons Art Center in 2020.
