Juan Daniel F. Molero

Born and raised in Lima (1987), Juan Daniel F. Molero studied film direction at the University of Film in Buenos Aires, while also doing press coverage of international film festivals for various digital media. As a videoblogger, he was selected for Rotterdam’s Trainee Project for Young Film Critics in 2010, and the NisiMazine Film Press Workshop at Lima Film Festival 2009 organized by NISI MASA, a European network of young cinema. He’s also an alumnus of Talent Campus Buenos Aires 2010 and Talent Campus Berlinale 2011. Since 2009, he’s the international programmer of the Cine//B Festival in Chile, which focuses on avant-garde, underground and counterculture digital cinema.
‘Reminiscences’ is his first feature film, an experimental documentary that uses homevideos to emulate an amnesia suffered by the filmmaker. It has screened in festivals like Rotterdam, FIDMarseille, Buenos Aires (BAFICI), La Habana, Lima Independiente, among others. His latest work is ‘The Abducted’, short film shot single-handed in the Amazon rain forest in 2011.
