Juliana Sakae

Juliana Sakae is a Japanese-Brazilian journalist and filmmaker whose work focuses on social issues, human rights, and children. Her first film, Bleu et Rouge, tells the story of Haiti through the eyes of teenagers. She directed Antigirl about a LA street artist that won the Best Short Doc at the LA Film and Script Festival. She worked on The Human Trial and Netflix’ series Making a Murderer, and managed the IDA Awards and the Artists Programs at Brown Girls Doc Mafia.
