Martin Smékal

Martin Smékal

Martin Smékal was born in a small town in Czechoslovakia, where he grew up making amateur films about skateboarding culture. In 2007 he was accepted for study at the Film School in Zlin. He did the final student produced movie as the DoP. He continued on at T. Bata University and started to focus on directing. He graduated with his own doc “Choose Your Way” (2012) when his journey of documentary filmmaker started. Presently, he’s focused on my own documentary production around the world.
