Sadia Rao

I’m an Indian filmmaker/journalist with over four years of experience in TV docs and seven years in journalism. My work explores the fault lines that divide modern India, revealing the impossible Indian reality, where everything is true and false, all at once. I’m now developing a non-fiction feature on anti-drug vigilantes exposing an opioid epidemic in Punjab. The film follows the pursuit of ‘rough justice’ and its cost to communities, a recurring theme in my work.
