Sophy Romvari

Sophy Romvari is a filmmaker born in Victoria, British Columbia, and based in Toronto. Her boundary-pushing hybrid fiction has earned her international acclaim and placed her on the vanguard of indie filmmaking in Canada. Her nonfiction short Pumpkin Movie, a playful satire about toxic masculinity, premiered in 2018 at the True/False film festival in Missouri. Her latest short, the experimental canine documentary Norman Norman, had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
