Tara Aliya Kesavan is an award-winning artist working across painting, sculpture, and video. Her work explores how Indian womanhood has been imagined during moments of historical and technological transformation. Her work has been exhibited at Transmitter, NYC (2024), UnionDocs, NYC (2024), Locust Projects, Miami (2022), the Center for Performance Research, NYC (2023), and M+ Museum, Kowloon (2019). She is a recipient of Culture Push’s Fellowship for Utopian Practice (2023) and the Space118 Fine Arts Grant (2025). Her video work has been featured on international art platforms like Labocine and 128Lit. Kesavan is the Programs & Communications Coordinator at UnionDocs, where she plays a leading role in shaping the organization’s digital presence and supports its public programming and artist-led projects. She holds an MFA in Integrated Media Arts from Hunter College, CUNY, and lives and works in New Delhi, India.
