Sheffield Fringe has come a long way since the first pop-up screening in 2011. In 2014/15, they presented programs in Sheffield, London, Utrecht, Izmir, and New York. They will be back with 2016 edition at Bloc Projects, Sheffield, launching on 10th June 2016, with a weekend of timed events including screenings, talks, workshops, open studios and a touring schedule to follow into 2017.
Sheffield Fringe is now open for artists’ moving image submissions for their 2016 edition. They are looking for single-channel works that inspire dialogues, and/or are playful critiques of the documentary form, performance and spectatorship.
