WMM presents an evening with Sheila Leddy, Executive Director of The Fledgling Fund. Since its launch in 2005, the Fledgling Fund has contributed nearly $11 million to more than 300 films addressing key social issues, such as equality, democracy, economic justice, education, environment, health care and justice reform, human rights and girl’s empowerment. Fledgling’s support focuses on outreach and audience engagement campaigns for films that put a human face on abstract policies issues, spark conversation, bring people together, strengthen social movements and/or catalyze people to action.
