We’re excited to share that a film we love, Holding Back the Tide, will have a week-long run at DCTV in New York, from September 6 -12, 2024, with multiple post-screening Q&As featuring director Emily Packer and TBA Special Guests.
Holding Back the Tide is an impressionistic city symphony that traces the oyster through its many life cycles in New York City. The film employs an intersectional approach to its storytelling, weaving concerns about climate change and environmentalism with queer liberation, indigenous and Black culture, and of course — food.
