
The Fondazione Prada Film Fund is an annual initiative that supports independent cinema.
Each year, the Fund supports up to 14 projects without restrictions regarding geography, theme, genre, or language. The Fund has an annual endowment of €1.5 million.
Film projects may be submitted at the development, production, or post-production stage.
Selection will be based exclusively on criteria such as quality, originality, vision, as well as strength and reliability of the applicant structure and it is carried out by a committee appointed by Fondazione Prada, which also determines the amount of the grants.
Composed of prominent figures from the fields of cinema and culture, the committee ensures an independent, impartial, and professional evaluation process. With the Fund, Fondazione Prada renews and enhances its commitment to cinema, supporting both established authors and new talents, as well as research projects, with the aim of giving space to innovative works.
The obligations of selected beneficiaries are governed by a contract with Fondazione Prada. The applicant’s production company remains solely responsible for complying with all applicable requirements and conditions.
The projects selected for the second edition of the Fondazione Prada Film Fund will be announced between in February 2027.

The 2026 call for projects will open on June 30th 2026.

Projects in Production Submission deadline: 6 August 2026
Projects in Development and Post-Production Submission deadline: 10 September 2026
After applying, post-production projects can provide their rough cut until 20 November 2026.
