DINA – DCTV Screening 2/26

On February 26 at 7:00 PM, DCTV will be holding a screening of Dina, an award-winning documentary directed by Antonio Santini and Dan Sickles. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Antonio Santini.

Sundance Grand Jury Prize Winner, Dina tells the story of an outspoken and eccentric 49-year-old in suburban Philadelphia who invites her fiancé Scott, a Walmart door greeter, to move in with her. Having grown up neurologically diverse in a world blind to the value of their experience, the two are head-over-heels for one another, but shacking up poses a new challenge. Filmmakers Dan Sickles and Antonio Santini construct seamless vérité scenes that lovingly frame Dina and Scott’s vulnerable, yet matter-of-fact romance.

DCTV is a media arts center that fosters diverse viewpoints by providing professional training, state-of-the-industry resources, and by creating outstanding documentary productions, with the belief that diversity of expression strengthens our democracy and enhances civil society.
