With Pegi Vail Monique Scott, Kimi Takesue, and Holly Morris. Observing the Observers explores the travel film’s role in shaping how people and places have been represented in popular culture, from one of the genre’s heydays in the early 20th century to today.

With Cong Feng Mao Chenyu Yi Sicheng, Zhou Xin and Benny Shaffer. Three central figures from the Chinese documentary scene will discuss documentary filmmaking and exhibition in contemporary China, particularly the case of the Yunnan Multi-Culture Visual Festival (Yunfest).
