Karin Leivategija
Karin Leivategija is a visual anthropologist. She works in Estonian National Museum as a researcher and uses visual anthropological methods to participate in various research and exhibition projects on different social and cultural topics. Karin is an aspiring documentary filmmaker. She graduated her studies in visual anthropology from the University of Manchester, UK in 2014. Her graduation film „The Sacred in the Secular“ (2014 UK/Estonia) has been screened in several festivals around Europe. Her current interests as a researcher and filmmaker involve postmemory, the concept of freedom and Post-Soviet Estonia during the 90s’ transition period.
