Marina Oriente is a filmmaker, photographer, and video editor born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Having recently graduated from The New School with a degree in Film and Science in Liberal Arts, she is looking into pursuing a Master’s Degree in Visual Anthropology. Her main interests span from documentary, experimental filmmaking and photography to ethnographic studies. Her growing passion for music, a background in gastronomy and graphic design, and an international nomadic lifestyle has strongly influenced her own cultural identity and shaped her awareness of universal collectivism and integrated living. Through her visual work, Marina seeks to raise awareness of global socio-political issues and explore hidden aspects of everyday beauty and simplicity within the struggles of humanity. As she continues to expand her knowledge, Marina is driven to inspire others with a lifestyle rooted in diversity and creative collaboration.
