Sharon Ullman

Sharon Ullman is currently a strategic and operational consultant, with a focus on art-related foundations, nonprofit organizations, and other entities. She most recently served for twelve years as the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation’s Deputy Director. Sharon has devoted her nearly 35-year career to providing an array of organizations with leadership, organizational, management, financial, and programming strategies. On paper, her assortment of earlier professional and artistic endeavors is almost comically diverse; it includes production for fashion shows, music videos, television commercials, and print ad campaigns; creative interfacing with designers; and a tenure with renowned architect Rem Koolhaas, first as a producer and then C.O.O. This experiential range has left Sharon a rich network of devoted colleagues, friends, and contacts…most of whom expound on her gift of “making the magic” and “helping everyone be better.”

The advancement of creative and artistic endeavors has always been Sharon’s top of mind; she is a longtime advocate for artists, art education, food justice, the environment, and other humanitarian causes, both personally and professionally. She remains actively engaged as a dedicated Board member for organizations that are particularly meaningful to her. Sharon brings creativity and resourcefulness to every position, regardless of size or scope; she is a gifted problem-solver and has a matchmaker’s intuition for creating mutually beneficial partnerships. In Sharon’s free time, she enjoys travel, art, performance, film of many eras, and music of wide variety…and she’ll drive hours for a good meal.
