Yang Yang

Yang is an independent filmmaker, producer and musician based in Shanghai and Brooklyn. Born and raised in Xi’an, she developed deep love for the wilderness as a young athlete. Yang is a 2019 Jackson Wild Summit Emerging Filmmaker Scholar, a member of the Explorers Club, and also a scuba diving instructor. In 2021, she initiated Jilu Commune, dedicated to sharing curated knowledge, resources and tools to help Mandarin-speaking nonfiction creatives network and grow professionally.
