Support 231 Maujer Community Art Space as they screen new work by Paweł Wojtasik on October 29!

Support our friends at 231 Maujer Community Art Space as they screen Paweł Wojtasik’s new work Uncle Ray Speaks (2021) on October 29 at 7:30PM!

A public screening of a documentary film about Uncle Ray Matthews, a survivor of drug and alcohol addiction, a victim of violence who lost one of his eyes as a result of a stabbing. Ray has overcome his demons and is now a source of inspiration to all who know him and love him. The screening venue, 231 Maujer, is near Williamsburg Houses, the housing project where Uncle Ray lives. People of the neighborhood will be invited to the screening. Ray will be available to answer questions raised by his story and will in particular discuss his struggle with addiction.

Paweł Wojtasik is a longtime member of the UnionDocs community and has screened several of his works here. We’re so happy to support the new community art space at 231 Maujer!
