The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards UnionDocs a FilmWatch Grant

UnionDocs is thrilled to announce our reception of the FilmCraft grant from The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that will fund our Collaborative Studio and our Summer Documentary Labs. Each year, The Academy awards significant grants from $5,000 – $15,000 to support the continuation of organizations and programs that help broaden the reach of the arts. A total of $500,000 was awarded to 51 organizations, along with $15,000 to help with the recovery efforts of three international archives in Cuba, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

We at UnionDocs are immensely honored and thankful for their backing, and will proudly use the grant to continue to support up and coming filmmakers enhance and represent their artistic ideas, learn practical knowledge of the field, and provide an environment for the successful creation of original documentary projects.
