We are thrilled to welcome Caveh Zahedi to present his most recent project, a live performance in which he tells the story of his experiences with hallucinogens over a 25 year period.

The performance will be followed by a Q+A.

I have been experimenting with psychedelics for over 35 years and filming these drug trips. About 25 years ago, I discovered the ideas of Terence McKenna who urges people to take what he calls “heroic doses” of mushrooms, as opposed to what he calls “recreational doses.” I began experimenting with heroic doses (three times the amount of a recreational dose) and started having experiences that I can only describe as becoming “possessed.”

Caveh Zahedi is an autobiographical filmmaker whose work includes A Little Stiff (1991), I Don’t Hate Las Vegas Anymore (1994), I Was Possessed By God (2000), In The Bathtub of the World (2001), Tripping with Caveh (2004) I Am A Sex Addict (2006), and The Sheik and I (2012). He also has an ongoing web series called The Show About The Show in which every episode is about the making of the previous episode.
