Sharp Ear, Soft Throat

With JT Green, Fil Corbitt, Jemma Rose Brown, Ariana Martinez & Chelsea Daniel

We’re delighted to join hands with an incredible lineup of sound artists of all stripes to co-present SHARP EAR, SOFT THROAT, a series of new sound art works from multi-vocal memoirs, to a blend of music, poetry and performance to a reflection and sharing of an experimental podcast, to immersive and participatory works that engage history, mythology and more!

Come through to tune into this dynamic and boundary-pushing work from audio producer and artist JT Green, radiomaker Fil Corbitt (The Wind), artist Jemma Rose Brown, multimedia artist Ariana Martinez.

Each piece uses spoken narration and audio recordings to bend the thin threshold between documentary and fiction; between listening and hearing.

We’re also thrilled to have DJ and composer Chelsea Daniel spinning us some groovy tunes in transitions and after the show! Doors at 7, show starts at 7:30.

While masking at our events is optional, we always have free masks available on-site and encourage folks to wear them to keep safe and prevent the spread of Covid.
