Open call for Ambulante Documentary Film Festival. To be eligible for submission the film must be 30 minutes or over. and submissions must have been completed in 2011 or 2012. There are no requirements for the subject matter of the entries. Formal and conceptual creativity and innovation will be considered during the selection process. Ambulante does not accept institutional or publicity films, nor works in a television format. After selection, the festival is non-competitive but the programming committee’s  final decision is not open to appeal.

Ambulante is a nonprofit organization based in Mexico dedicated to supporting and spreading the documentary film as a tool of cultural and social transformation. Founded  in 2005 by Gael Garcia Bernal, Diego Luna and Pablo Cruz, Ambulante travels to places that have a limited supply of film exhibition and film formation in order to build a participatory audience, critically informed followings and new open channels of expression and reflection in Mexico and abroad.

Ambulante is open to receive submissions to be considered for Ambulante 2013 until July 27th, 2012.
