WISE: Audiovisual Alchemy II
With Monica Duncan & Senem Pirler, Sync Sapro, and Victoria Keddie
UnionDocs
352 Onderdonk Ave
Ridgewood, NY
UnionDocs is so excited to present our second night of WISE, a bi-monthly series exploring sonic and audiovisual experiments through an ever-evolving range of approaches—sound objects, hand-built instruments, field recordings, analog synthesis, digital systems, and more. Curated by Jenn Grossman, who helms Women Innovating Sound Experience (WISE), an NYC-based curatorial platform highlighting women and non-binary artists working in experimental sound and media arts, the series brings together boundary-pushing artists for an evening of deep listening and live performance.
This iteration features a fantastic lineup of live performances by —
Monica Duncan and Senem Pirler — Through audiovisual performances, they find their own unique ways to explore and interrogate everyday objects, concepts of agency and queer potentiality.
Sync Sapro — With a primary focus on investigating the potency & nuance of deftly sculpted drone music, and exploring the capacity of the frequency range, the psycho-physiological nature of the auditory experience emerges.
Victoria Keddie – Through focused work on sound, video, installation, and performance, she exhibits the hidden narratives in everyday objects and spaces, which explore the themes of acoustic phenomena and language.
Come through for this brilliant evening of sonic exploration that bridges tactile sound, digital systems, and immersive visuals! WISE invites you to listen deeply, engage curiously, and experience sound as a space of possibility. You won’t want to miss it!

Sync Sapro is an NYC based sound artist inexorably drawing from various ulterior wells – focused on exploring the potency & nuance of deftly sculpted drone music, the outer fringes of the frequency range, and the psycho-physiological nature of the aural. Fully embracing the elemental, the somatic & the spectral, she utilizes a wide variety of techniques to craft immersive sonic realms.

Victoria Keddie is a multidisciplinary artist focused on sound, video, installation, and performance, revealing hidden narratives in everyday artifacts and spaces. She explores themes of acoustic phenomena and language. Formerly Co-director of E.S.P. TV, Keddie has showcased her work internationally. She has received fellowships from NYSCA/NYFA (2022), Max Planck Institute (DE) (2023), and Bemis Center (2024). Her video works are distributed by Lightcone (FR) and The Filmmakers Co-op (US), while her sound work is released through Raster Media (DE), Chaikin Records (US), and Fridman Gallery (NYC/US).
