Daphne Chan

Daphne Chan is an artist, photographer, filmmaker and social media strategist. Born in Montreal, she has a BA in Psychology and a LL.B/BCL in international law. She’s also a graduate of the National School of Photography in Arles and the International Center of Photography in New York (ICP).

Chan’s work explores identity through gender, culture, sexuality and body image. She is an international speaker and lecturer at many public and private photographic institutions including Parsons, NYU and ICP.

Chan is currently working on an immersive media experience entitled Transparency: The Gender Identity Project and recently graduated from New Media Narratives at ICP. Her work has recently been published in PDN, ArtForum and Musee Magazine, and exhibited at the New York Photo Festival, The Seoul International Photo Festival and the Oberstdorfer Fotogipfel in Germany. Chan is also assisting with the premiere exhibition of the ICP Museum curation of Public, Private, Secret.
