David Scheckel

David Scheckel is a filmmaker with experience in both documentary and narrative filmmaking. Through his background in social history, his work attempts to approach documentary practice through immersing himself with the communities he is working with. His latest project about the growing New York City chess scene, Over the Board, is currently in festival submissions and has screened in community settings and in a local screening series.
