Isaiah Hines

Isaiah is a rising junior at Columbia University studying film theory and comparative ethnic studies. He is particularly interested in documentary film, cultural studies, and critical race theory, working within and alongside their ever-blurring boundaries. Making films and writing are his passion and in his literary and videographic work, Isaiah seeks to tune into the existing yet unfixed, motile, tactile rhythms and practices of the Black avant-garde. He is currently in the process of producing and directing a short experimental documentary and an accompanying visual-auditory installation art piece exploring Blackness, embodiment, boundaries, performance, love, truth, reality, and fiction.
