“Since 2000, the Third Coast Competition has solicited, considered, and honored the most imaginative narrative audio work made around the world. Each Competition season, we crown 11 winning pieces across 9 genre-expansive categories as Award-winners; name and showcase an inspiring spread of Finalists; and celebrate these esteemed pieces through various programs, including an Awards Celebration.
At Third Coast, we try to embody and emulate the parts of the audio field that we cherish: where people and craft are prioritized over profit; where access to and equity in the field is centered; and where the boundaries of audio storytelling are evolved through experimentation, connection, and collectivity. Those values continue to shape all that we have to offer through our annual Competition Cycle.
