A World Refugee Day Conversation Featuring POV films- June 20th 7-8:30pm

On Tuesday June 20th from 7-8:30pm, join POV for a conversation honoring World Refugee Day, a day to raise awareness of forcibly displaced people worldwide. There will be a screening of three feature films and two shorts about the Syrian war and the global refugee crisis.

The screening and talk will be held at Manhattan Center Productions TV1 on 305 West 34th St. The talk will be joined by: Julia Meltzer, director/producer of Dalya’s Other Country; Alaa Hassan, producer of The War Show; Jennifer Patterson, Deputy Executive Director of USA for UNHCR; and moderated by Michael Slackman, International Editor for The New York Times.

This free event is in partnership with The New York Times’ Op-Docs and Manhattan Center Productions and seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There will be a light reception at 6:30pm before the screenings at Manhattan Center Productions.
